I owe my years of experience to my father as he started me out tearing apart a small outboard engine on my mom's basement floor at the age of 6.  I was so excited being given such an opportunity; however, my mom was not. We failed to take precautions and drained the oil all over her basement floor! At the age of 9, I was given a go cart and there was always something to fix on that thing. By 13 I was working on any lawn mower, small engine I could get my hands on, and have been ever since.

I joined the Navy at 23 where I was designated as a diesel mechanic, but was introduced to many other systems to include electrical, air and hydraulics. After 8 years, which included a full tour of Desert Storm/Desert Shield,  I decided it was time to return to civilian life and pursue my love of small engines. Taking a job at Sunbelt Rentals as their small engine mechanic, I was offered the service manager position in 3 weeks.  Wanting to get back to the small engines, I left after 3 years to take a position at M&N Equipment as their small engine mechanic, where I became Honda certified and worked another 3 years.

Given a job offer I could not refuse I spent the last 21 years working for a rigging and millwright company, Alltek, as their mechanic. In the fall of 2022 I was told that I would not have a job at the end of the year.  Turns out it was just the push to finally answer my friends and families calls to open up a small equipment business. They were tired of having to pay so much and wait for so long, not to mention the pain of having to try get their equipment somewhere to drop it off.
